Blankney Estates Limited is recruiting a permanent and full-time Carpenter/Multi-Tradesperson to join our Estate, Maintenance and Works team.
The role will primarily involve carrying out a variety of carpentry duties across the Estate, working on both new projects and restoration/maintenance work. The role will predominantly involve working around the existing tenants of the Estate.
Duties will include, but are not limited to:-
- Installation of doors, windows and other fittings.
- Making various adjustments to existing fittings.
- Installation or replacement of ironmongery.
- Timber frame repairs to windows, doors etc., utilising modern and tradition methods.
- Replacement of timber floors and skirtings.
- Installation of kitchens and bathrooms with associated works.
- Taking measurements.
- Working within a team environment.
- Carrying out any duties as required by the team leader/manager.
- Bespoke tasks.
- Patch plastering and tiling.
- Basic understanding of roofing repairs and works.
The successful candidate will have the following personal skills:
- Methodical and safety conscious.
- Being physically capable of performing a diverse set of tasks.
- Able to work with materials and component parts in confined spaces often in awkward postures. To work at height safely and using all types of access equipment.
- Respectful and well mannered.
- Understand drawings, plans and written or spoken instructions.
- Positive and ‘can-do’ attitude.
- Flexibility.
- Team player.
- Good project management and time management skills.
- Full clean driving licence.
Applicants should possess a BTEC/City & Guilds/NVQ Level 3 in Carpentry/Woodworking discipline or proof of works to a similar level. We ask that applicants have at least 5 years post qualification experience of site or estate works in a similar role. Applicants should also have had basic health & safety at work training within the last 3 years and a proven experience in multi-trades.
