Blankney Farm Update – 18 January 2021

Our sugar beet harvest commenced after our Christmas break. It has been a wet time, but we have not had any severely cold weather.

We will finish harvesting sugar beet in the next week, but yields are very poor, largely due to the beet virus – ‘Yellows’.

We are selling 13% and 18% ruminant feeds well and we are ahead of last year. We have now included, under the ‘Fibre Feeds’ section, our further information and prices. Please click here and you will be taken to the page.

After all the disruption of Brexit, we do feel confident about the future, the new agriculutural policy and would wlecome support from the public, so we can embrace and deliver a better farming future.
